About Soopa
www.soopapets.com |
"The owner and founder of Soopa, Barbara Hanly, is extremely passionate about healthy eating
for both humans and pets. Eating fresh vibrant food not only nourishes
the body but also the mind. Having her own dog grooming and pet sitting
business for a time she was shocked to notice so many dogs with food
allergies, diabetes, obesity and many more worrying illnesses. Barbara knew
that dogs loved to eat a variety of fruit and vegetables so she was
excited by the idea of creating a 100% fruit and vegetable dog treat
that was not only delicious but nutritious too. Soopa dog chews are not
only naturally rich in important vitamins and minerals but also low
calorie, hypo-allergenic and safe for dogs with diabetes.
Dogs love the chewiness of rawhide and juicy
freshness of fruit and vegetables. Soopa chews are not only healthy on a
nutritional level but also assist in keeping your dog's teeth
clean. Bursting with vitamins and minerals, Soopa chews not only provide
your dog with one of their five a day but also help support healthy
gums and teeth. Here's to healthier and happier pets everywhere!"

Why are fruit and vegetables important for dogs?
"Vegetables and fruit supply disease preventing phytochemicals that your dog may not be able to get from other sources. The phytochemicals which are found in abundance in fruit and vegetables may help to prevent some of the chronic diseases seen in dogs just as they do in humans.
These diseases busting superfoods are also rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber and low in fat too!. Chewy, juicy and super nutricious, Soopa chews are a great way to keep your dog healthy and happy."

Review
I think the Soopa natural dog chews are great! They are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidantiants while at the same time being low in fat and low in calories. They are therefore great chews for dogs that are overweight or for dogs with sensitive stomachs. I also like that they are all natural without any additives, preservatives or colourings and are rather made out of fresh dried fruits and vegetables. I therefore think they are a great alternative to meaty chews. Furthermore, I found that all the Soopa chews have a nice strong smell of either Sweet Potato, Papaya or Coconut which I actually really like.
Rocky was first not really into the Soopa chews which I think was mainly due to not being made out of meat. However, giving him some time he slowly got interested in them and started chewing. His favourite flavour was definitely the Soopa Sweet Potato, followed by the Soopa Papaya, while his least favourite was the Soopa Coconut which he so far didn't eat.
Overall, I think the Soopa Chews are great for dogs who love to chew!
