change the way that the world sees wool products. They passionately
believe that products made from wool fibre can help us all live a
better, healthier and happier life. Wool is a natural, renewable
resource that has so many other fabulous characteristics too.
They are a privately owned company which originated in the former world
wool capital: Bradford, England. These days their Head Office is in the
beautiful county of Rutland and they have opened shops in 5 locations;
Edinburgh, Morpeth, Harrogate, Gainsborough and Stamford. They know that
the wool fibre that our counrty was built upon has unique and
unmatchable qualities, however wool products have sometimes become known
as "old fashioned", "itchy-scratchy" and "hard to care for". This does
not have to be the case.
With The Wool Room collection of products, they prove that by listening to and
understanding the needs of the modern consumer, they are able to provide
very relevant and truly valuable natural products which fundamentally
contradict those common misconceptions. They are not trying to mislead you
- not all wool products are of premium quality or fit for purpose.
However, you can be confident that due to their status as wool-groupies, they will not let any substandard wool products be shown on their site or
sold to you.
The wool products you will find in their site are design-led, soft and
where possible the bedding is machine washable. As you can see
throughout their site, there are many wonderful wool products
being produced by very committed and talented wool specialists
throughout the world. Wool has an incredible number of beneficial
characteristics that have not been properly demonstrated. As a result,
they have created a growing information resource called Woolipedia.
Woolipedia can be used by wool-groupies, wool consumers, wool designers
and wool demand chain participants alike. They would be pleased to hear your suggestions of additional material that can be placed into Woolipedia.

Review: I think the Wool Dog Blanket by The Wool Room is very nice. It is of high quality and it is made out of 100% New Zealand Lambwool which is quite rare. I used to find wool products quite scratchy, however the Wool Blanket by The Wool Room is really soft which I did not expect at all. I especially like the different dog breeds on the blanket even though for me, as a Chihuahua lover, I would like for a Chihuahua to be on the blanket as well.
Rocky straight away liked the blanket as well. He loves to cuddle up in blankets and the bigger, the better which is why he loves the Wool Dog Blanket.
Great blanket, great quality, great pattern.
