"....or how it all began!

  

It all began with their loyal Bernese; HENRY. Quasi the source of the idea! In the year 2007 he again got his summer hairstyle and after the thick Bernese fur was gone for summer, there was a lot of space for wide dog collars. However, it was not easy to find a suitable collar for the stately guy with a loose neck circumference of 68cm....many "standart collars" simply did not fit or were not according to Claudia Bujack's liking!

An own creation was needed! Thus, she braided a collar! And as she is living in Schleswig-Holstein, the land between the seas, the sail closure is a „must have"!

Those were quickly bought in the "sail shop around the corner", the leather was ordered and after a few unsuccessful attempts the first Felchtwerk (wickerwork) was completed, which HENRY proudly wore through summer and was admired. The idea was born and the starting shot for the foundation of DIE FLECHTWERKSTATT! Noble Flechtwerke (wickerworks) made-to-measure with closures from the sail area at the buyer's option. And thus always a unique individual piece for the four-legged friend.

The range has expanded and changed until today...there are not only noble Flechtwerke (wickerworks) for dogs, but since then also Leather Jewelry for humans! And Claudia Bujack's creativity has no end...! For all her Flechtwerke (wickerworks) she attaches great importance to high-quality of the leather and the closures. She only uses high-quality cowhide leather and no imitation leather. All used tags contain of 925 sterling silver. ...and especially..... all Flechtwerke (wickerworks) are made by her with heat's blood for her customers!"

Leather Collars

Description to the Leather Collar: "Hand-made, noble braided Leather Collars for your dog. The robust closures from the sailing area are a great offer to give the Collars a robust, but yet very noble touch. All Collars are lovingly handcrafted made-to-measusre by Claudia Bujack and with the closure of your choice!

Every Collar is thus a special individual piece!!

The Leather Collars by Die Flechtwerkstatt are available in different designs;
- Collars made from smooth leather (Fine adn robust Leather Collars made from braided smooth leather.)
- Collars made from seamed nappa leather (Fine and noble braided Collars made from nappa leather.)
- Collars made from "in itself" braided leather (Fine braided Collars made from "in itself" braided leather.)
- Collars made from one leather strand (Fine Collars made from one leather strand.)

The Collars are available in a wide range of leather- and nappa leather colours.

Review: I am very much delighted about the Leather Collar by Die Flechtwerkstatt and only have positive feedback without exception. The Collar is of very high-quality and looks very noble.
The parcel was packaged with love and I especially liked that the Collar was in a protective pouch so that it was additionally protected during the transit and in which the Collar can be stored if the dog should not wear it. I also really like the real silver star charm which is a very cute detail. I did not know Brommel hooks beforehand but I  think they are very suitable for Dog Collars. They are quickly and easily opened or closed and are furthermore very sturdy. I additionally like that the Leather Collars are available in a variety of colours and colour combinations. Thus, one can create an individual Collar according to one's own colour choices. Rocky has received a Collar in the colour orange and I think that Ms Bujack has well chosen this colour as it suits Rocky very well.
Moreover, I was very happy about the personal written postcard and the little chocolate sweets, and Rocky immedialtey pounced on the housemade treats.
Overall, it is simply a gorgeous, handmade Collar made of high-quality and sturdy materials and I only have positive things to say about it.
