"Annrees is owned and founded by Ann Rees, mother of four grown up kids and
designer and maker of quality handmade products for dogs, horses and people
for over 20 years.
Ann Rees lives in rural Kent near Sevenoaks (South East England) with Russell (a game keeper), her elderly mother Pat, and two Labradors, Buster and Tola (Russell's gun dog).

She grew up around horses and from that experience started her business
over 20 years ago making leather bridles and head collars using
traditional hand stitching methods. She invested in a heavy duty sewing
machine, which then allowed her to experiment with fabric items,
such as horse rugs and neck covers. She gradually increased her range
adding suede and leather chaps and things such as horse leg wraps.
As a dog owner, it occurred to her that she could make her own collars, leads and coats for her pets and with a little tweaking, they are now her best selling products. She exhibit at many dog shows all around the country with the help of her daughter Carla, including Crufts, where she has been an exhibitor for several years.
All of Ann Rees products were designed by her and have been progressively modified and improved over the years. They are a small family-run business and they need all the support possible."

"The handmade leather padded dog collar
by annrees are based on their classic leather collars, but they have a
soft cow hide padding. This is to give greater comfort to the dog as the
rounded edges are softer and prevent hair shaving. It also gives you
some fun with the 224 different colour combinations available. Matching
leads are available, too.
All
collars are designed and handmade by Ann Rees. She uses traditional
hand stitching methods, which let's face it, aren't kind to one's skin,
but are exceptionally durable and strong. Customers who have bought

- Main leather cut from cow shoulder hide which is less stiff & more comfortable than bridle leather
- Padded with soft cow hide, folded over for extra strength & rounded edges to prevent hair shaving at neck
- Hand stitched at the buckle for strength & machine stitched down the length for neatness

- Choice of 16 top and 14 padding leather collours

wine, cherry red and leaf green, and available padding colours include

Review: The annrees leather padded dog collar is a very nice collar. It is very well made with high quality leather and therefore has a strong leather smell (which I really like).
I think it is brilliant that this collar is available in a huge colour variation depending on the customer's preference. I have chosen a brown leather with jade padding which I think looks great and suits Rocky very well. I especially like that this collar is a bit wider and not as thin as other collars in Rocky's size.
Delivery might take up to 28 days as each order is handmade, but it will usually arrive earlier than that, so also for Rocky's collar. But even if the wait is longer (up to 28 days) the wait is well worth it. The collar does not only look great, but is also very sturdy.
I think it is also the perfect size for Rocky and fits him very well.
So, overall I am very happy with Rocky's annrees leather padded dog collar.
