We have received a Braided Leash which we have chosen for Rocky.
About Flechtleine
"Flechtleine (meaning Braided Leash) was created by Ariane Senske who is living in Berlin with her dog Ulexa and her companion dog Sara.
But why is Ariane Senske making Braided and Knotted Products for dogs?
It all started with the purchase of a nice Collar...unfortunately no Leash suited in regards to colour... So why shouldn't she make a Leash in the suitable colours herself?!
She lengthy searched for a pretty braiding technique, as well as for suitable materials.
As she finally got everything together and had finished her first leash she oftentimes was asked by friends, acquaintances and other dog owners about her Leashes.
Since her passion for the braiding and knotting was awakened she at first made Leashes for friends and acquaintances, and later also Collars.
With time Ariane Senske got together more and more colours, developed several thicknesses and types. The products were shown to be very sturdy and long-lasting in practice.
She is still using her first models daily which have survived baths in the Baltic Sea, as well as mud puddles and are always coming clean and without the loss of colour out of the wahsing machine.
She also wanted to offer the wide range of colours, designs, thicknesses and types to other dog owners - thus her hobby became her career.
With every order Ariane Senske is happy about the individual wishes of the customers, the manufacturing, as well as in the end about the finished product and a picture of the dog with the handmade product.
The full depth of her creativy has yet to be explored and she is always adding more techniques and accessories. Thus, her website is always worth a visit, and you should always look out for new products!"

Braided Leashes are available in 3 thicknesses; Mini, Medi and Maxi, and can be braided round or flat.

Braided Leashes can either be unicoloured, bicoloured, tricoloured or even four-coloured depending on the customer's wish.
Therefore, 22 different colours are available.

Next to a desired thickness and colour choice a specific design can be chosen as well. Available designs are stripes, helices, V-pattern, V-pattern stripes and V-pattern helices.
As examples there are three pictures of a tricoloured Leash in the designs; helices, V-pattern helices and V-pattern stripes.

Braided Leashes are available in several types. Thus, Braided Leashes are available as Fixed Leashes with Handle (standard of ca. 115cm long), Triple Adjustable Leashes (the length from snap hook to snap hook is a standard of 190cm), Agility-/Retriever-/Slipleashes (ca. 170cm long and has a slider to adjust the collar size, as well as a handle), Variable Adjustable Leashes (ca. 190cm long and can be adjusted with one to three variable adjustable rings), Short Leash (optimal for big dogs) and show leashes.
Every Braided Leash can thus be individually made according to colour, thickness, design and type choice.

Type: Triple Adjustable Leash
Colours: brown (50%), black and beige
Thickness: Mini
Design: Helices
All Braided Products (with the exception of products with decorations) are machine washable at 40°C at the washing programm for delicate fabrics. Attention should be paid to the metalwork which needs to be protected (e.g. via knotting a sock around them; sponge- or fabric bags are not sufficient enough!).
Not glued and not coiled - Braided Leashes are spliced!

Review: I am very delighted about the Braided Leash! It has turned out to be great and is exactly how I have imagined it. In addition, it has the perfect size for Rocky especially due to its small snap hooks. The Braided Leash is not at all too heavy for Rocky and even though it is quite thin it is still very nice to hold in the hand. As I always prefer adjustable Leashes the Triple Adjustable Braided Leash was the perfect choice for us.
I especially like that there is an infinite varity of combinations of Braided Leashes and thus every Leash is an individual. A choice can be made between 22 different colours; unicoloured or mutlicoloured, different designs and types, as well as different thicknesses depending on the dogs size.
In addition, it is good that the Braided Leash is machine washable and furthermore very sturdy.
The contact with Ariane Senske was also very friendly. She takes great care to fulfill every customer's wish and she even sends example pictures of different colours and designs before a customer has to decide about actually purchasing a product. That's what I call customer-friendly!
Moreover, it's easy to tell how much care Ariane Senske puts into manufacturing a Braided Leash. The Braided Leash is really made to 100%, without any mistakes. It is The Perfekt Leash!
