We were now able to review their new product; Meaty Sweeties.

 

 

Meaty Sweeties

Description of the Meaty Sweeties: "Meaty Sweeties are a healthy calorie treat which can be fed complimentary to a balanced diet.
Made with nothing but fresh human grade ingredients with a consistency not too tough, but not too crumbly.
Just feed one and you will have a friend for life!

No rendered meats or derivatives, no wheat, corn or soya, colours, taste enhancers, sweeteners or any other nasty bits.

Meaty Sweeties are available in two flavours; Chicken & Coconut and Duck & Apple.

We have received the Duck & Apple Meaty Sweeties.

Composition: Chicken (40%), Duck (25%), Honey, Apple (10%), Coconut, Oil & Organic Molasses.

Analytical Constituents: Protein 37%, Fat 24%, Crude fribres 0.7%, Crude ash 3.3%."

Review: I am really positively surprised by the new Pure Pet Food Meaty Sweeties. First of all, I love the name Meaty Sweeties. I think this is a brilliant name for dog treats.
I also really much like the composition as the treats are full of good ingredients without any grains, sugars or other additives. Therefore, I can treat Rocky without having to feel bad about it.

Rocky also really liked the treats. He first inspected the coconut bits on top of the treats but once convinced he could eat them, he loved the treats and straight away came back for more.
Overall, the Meaty Sweeties are a great treat that can be fed with a good conscience and which the dog will love.

A few months ago, I have already reviewed dog food by Pure Pet Food (here: www.doggy-testblog.blogspot.co.uk/pure-pet-food).
 We were now able to review their new recipe; Turkey Terrific.


Turkey Terrific

Description of the Turkey Terrific: "Turkey Terrific is a complete human quality food perfect for adult and senior dogs. This gentle recipe provides a grain free, low processed meal making it ideal for sensitive dogs who suffer from allergies and intolerances or who are prone to carry a little excess weight.

Ingredients: Turkey (20%), Potato, Parsnip, Carrot, Beef Liver (8%), Green Beans, Apple, Cabbage & Minerals (All ingredients dehydrated).

Analytical Constituents: Protein 25%, Fat 8%, Crude fibre 1.1%, Ash 4.2%"

Review: Turkey Terrific is another great flavour by Pure Pet Food.
I really like that all of their meals are grain free and made with only the best ingredients. It is easily prepared and looks good. One can actually see the individual ingredients without the food being completely squished. It looks fresh and tasty. I also really like that a little food goes a long way. While it may look like little, it actually lasts a long time.

"Pure Pet Food was established by Mat and Dan, who came up with the idea of producing a pet food which is dehydrated.
Although this is a much longer process than making a dry or wet dog food, they believe it is time well spent and the only option to do the ingredients justice.
Dehydration removes the moisture from the natural and human grade dog foods, locking in their nutrients and goodness whilst preserving them. 

So how does it work?
Pure Pet Food comes in a dehydrated from. Once placed in a dog bowl, warm water simply has to be added to it. After leaving it to rehydrate for 10 - 15 minutes, it can be fed to the dog."

Chicken Dinner

A more moderate level of protein and fat make this recipe perfect for adult maintenance.

Ingredients: 60% Chicken (Fresh Meat and Liver), Potato, Parsnip, Carrot, Apple, Cabbage, Green Beans, Minerals.

Analytical Constituents: Protein 26%, Fat 11%, Crude Fibre 2.5%, Ash 4.4%.

Pure foods contain no rendered meats or derivatives, no wheat, corn or soya, colours, taste enhancers, sweeteners or any other nasty bits."

Review: I have tested a few dehydrated dog foods before, but honestly have to say that Pure Pet Food is the best dehydrated food so far. Unlike many other dehydrated dog foods, Pure is actually looking like wet food once rehydrated!
While Rocky was at first not too impressed, taking his time to investigate the food, he started liking it very quickly. The food is mushy but yet with chewy pieces which look like real meat and vegetables.
I am overall very impressed with the Pure dehydrated dog food. Rocky seemed to like it and it was easy to make. A little bit goes a long way as well, especially when a dog is as small as Rocky is. I also like, that you can individually adjust the amount of water you add to rehydrate the food. In summer when it is hot, one can easily add a bit more water to keep the dog hydrated, when not drinking enough water. I think Pure Pet Food is great and convenient.
